The weekend is here. We don’t have the players to play 2 games at the same time tomorrow, so we cut it to one. We will send players from both teams to Bronxville at 3:00. Game info is on the WHITE team’s schedule. The game vs DOCS on the BLUE schedule is cancelled. BLUE players go to Bronxville at 3:00 NOT Yonkers at 4:00. We can’t take it off the schedule yet for technical reasons, but we will as soon as possible.

Blue-

We had a good weekend. Played a bunch of games. Got a lot of kids on the field. And most importantly had some fun. Sunday was a game where a bunch of things went right for us. We started doing some of the things we’ve worked on in practice and the result was positive. That was a game where the boys really seemed to be having fun. That’s when the coaches get excited for them. They start to have some success; they play a little harder and they really are happy to be there. That’s what we saw on Sunday. So great.

We’re coming to the home stretch. I’m doing my best to replace our practices with games. It’s that time of year. As always, please use the robot or contact me if you know your plan.

Here’s the week ahead. 

• The Rooster Rumble (Sunday) is a mini-tournament which we’ll play 3-4 games (like 20 minute running time, or something like that), and leave. I don’t think we can get enough players up there for two teams, so we’ll go up as one team and play as much as we can. All players included.  Car pools are probably a good idea. I’m told the games will be from 9:00 to 12:00, but I don’t have the schedule yet. Not sure why.
• I’m still working on Saturday because I’m not sure we’ll post two teams at two spots at the same time. Stay tuned for schedule changes
