Save the Date for the 13th annual JR Schoen 3v3 LaxJam on Sunday, May 28, 2023!
Get your team together for this great event! Prizes will be awarded for costumes and team names, so start working on a good name and uniform!
Each team will have four players. The format will be a round robin, with short (7-8 minute), frenzied games on small fields, no goalies and tiny nets. Teams are not coached by parents. Referees will assist with subbing on the fly. All games will be played at the Darien stadium, and the schedule is as follows:
9-10:30am* 3/4 Boys and 3/4 Girls
10:45-12:15pm* 5/6 Boys and 5/6 Girls
*times may change slightly based on number of registrants.
Registration will open May 11, 2023 -- ONE player from each team should register (and pay for) the entire team. The cost is $100 per team.
This LaxJam will be an exciting event in memory of a wonderful boy. JR Schoen was a 9 year old DYLA player who lost his battle with a brain tumor in 2008. JR’s younger brother, Keane, is now playing DYLA as a 5th grader on Fairfield!! Family and friends created the JR Schoen Memorial Foundation as a way to honor his memory and provide funding for research as well as other deserving causes. All proceeds from the 3v3 LaxJam support this great charity.
